Sex Abuse Case Arrest

(Campbellsburg, Ky.) -- On Friday, September 25, 2009 the Kentucky State Police arrested Robert Allen Stiver from Louisville Kentucky. Mr. Stiver, age 55 was charged with ten counts of Sex abuse 1st degree for a victim under 12 years old, a class C felony. The Owen County case was initiated on September 3rd, 2009 when the family of the victim contacted the Kentucky State Police. The events for which Mr. Stiver is charged took place between 1994 and 1998.

Mr. Stiver who was a former resident of Owen County is also a registered sex offender resulting from an earlier Owen County charge.

The ongoing case is being investigated by Detective Steve Goodale with the Kentucky State Police.
