Bank Robbery Arrest

(Campbellsburg, KY) - On January 23, 2009, Kentucky State Police responded to a robbery at the First National Bank of Carrollton, in Carrollton, Kentucky. Based on information obtained by the Kentucky State Police, Carroll County Sheriff's Department, and Carrollton Police Department, a warrant was obtained for Mr. Cecil Messer. Mr. Messer was located in the Nashville area by Tennessee Highway Patrol and other Tennessee law enforcement agencies. Currently Mr. Messer is awaiting extradition. Mr. Messer has been charged with robbery, 1st degree.

(Campbellsburg, KY) - On January 23, 2009 at approximately 1:50 p.m. the First National Bank of Carrollton at the corner of 6th Street and Highland Ave. was robbed by an unknown white male. The subject's description is white male, medium to heavy set, with a beard, blue uniform type pants, red tee shirt, red ball cap, dark sunglasses. The First National Bank of Carrollton is authorizing a $2000 reward for any information leading to arrest and conviction of the perpetrator(s).
