One Killed in a Two Vehicle Collision on KY86

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) -- On December 15, 2009, at 1:00 pm Eastern time, Troopers from the Elizabethtown Kentucky State Police Post were called to investigate a serious injury accident on KY86, approximately 6 miles west of Cecilia. Trooper Norman Chaffins reported that a westbound 1993 Dodge van, operated by Bruce A Caldera (a 53-year-old white male from Elizabethtown, Ky) crossed the center line on KY86 and struck an eastbound 2004 Ford pickup, operated by William C Wiglesworth (a 28-year-old white male from Danville, Ky), head-on. Bruce Caldera suffered fatal injuries, and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner. William Wiglesworth was not injured. Trooper Chaffins' investigation is ongoing.
