Single Vehicle Collision on Flint Hill Road Injured One

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) -- On October 21, 2009 at 6:22 P.M. the Elizabethtown Post of the Kentucky State Police responded to a report of a single vehicle injury-accident near 1795 Flint Hill Road in Hardin County. A 1996 Chevy Lumina being operated by a Loetta Morris, a 73 year old female of Elizabethtown was traveling east on Flint Hill Road when the vehicle's passenger side tires left the south side of the roadway. Ms. Morris attempted to regain control of the vehicle but, over corrected crossing the roadway and leaving the north side of the roadway and overturning, coming to a final rest on its top. Ms. Morris was extricated from the vehicle by Sonora and Elizabethtown Fire Departments, and Hardin County EMS and was airlifted to University Hospital in Louisville by Air Methods, air ambulance service with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Trooper Kevin Warrell is investigating the accident.
