Fatal Collision on I-65

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) -- On 09/09/09 at 09:58 Kentucky State Police responded to a call of an injury accident on northbound I65 at the 120mp. Unit 1, a 2004 Hyundai Sante Fe, was traveling southbound on I65. The vehicle experienced tire failure causing it cross the interstate into the northbound lanes. Unit 2, a 2000 Oldsmobile passenger car, was traveling northbound and was struck by unit 1. Unit 1 was driven by Heather Payne, 23 year old female, from Gallatin, TN. She was transported to University Hospital with non life threatening injuries. The driver and passenger of unit 2 were both pronounced dead at the scene. Unit 2 was driven by Ronald Gregory, 47 year old male, from Shepherdsville, KY. The passenger in unit 2 was Mildred Gregory, 74 year old female, from Shepherdsville, KY.
