Death Investigation in Grayson County

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) - KSP Elizabethtown was notified that a man hiking in the wood off of Coy Drain Road in Grayson County had located a human skull. Upon further investigation, the skeletal remains of what is believed to be an elderly, white female were discovered. The remains are unidentified at this time. An autopsy of the remains is being conducted by the State Medical Examiner's Office. Members of the Kentucky State Police, Hardin County Sheriff's Office, Grayson County Sheriff's Office, Hardin County Coroner's Office, Grayson County Coroner's Office, and State Medical Examiner's Office assisted in the investigation.
