5 Injured in a Two Vehicle Collision on KY 185

(Bowling Green, Ky.) -- Jonathan Schmidt was traveling southbound on KY 185. Kent Koostra was traveling northbound on KY 185 approaching Mr. Schmidt's vehicle . Mr. Schmidt's vehicle crossed the center line causing Mr. Koostra's vehicle to collide with the right side passenger compartment of Mr. Schmidt's vehicle. Mr. Schmidt's vehicle came to final rest off the roadway on the northbound side of an embankment facing south. Mr. Koostra's vehicle came to final rest partially blocking the northbound lanes, with its front bumper facing east. All occupants were taken to the Medical Center in Bowling Green via Butler County and Edmonson County EMS. Shirley and Richards Adams, Mr. Koostra's passengers were life-flighted to the University of Louisville Hospital via Air Evac for treatment for severe injuries. All other parties were admitted to the Medical Center at Bowling Green for non-life threatening injuries. The incident remains under investigation by Trooper Tomie Walters
