Drug Investigation and Arrest

(Bowling Green, Ky.) -- On Friday 9/11/09 Trooper White observed a green Chevy pickup driving recklessly and speeding on KY 224 in Hart County. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver, Gina Martin, was arrested for DUI 1st Offense, Speeding, Reckless Driving, Not Wearing A Seatbelt, No Insurance, and Failure to Notify Address Change to the Department of Transportation. A search of the vehicle also located 7.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine, $1,153.00 cash, and several items of drug paraphernalia. Ms. Martin was then charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Offense, Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense. Ms. Martin was lodged in the Hart County Jail. The investigation is ongoing by Trooper White.
