Death Investigation in Warren County

(Bowling Green, Ky.) -- Post 3 responded to a shooting complaint at 7091 Morgantown Road. Upon the arrival of the units, one male victim (Justin Kropp, age 19 of Scottsville, Ky) was observed with a gunshot wound to the head. The perpetrator (Jacob Whitaker, age 20 of Bowling Green) was at the scene and was detained by the units. Mr. Kropp was transported to the Medical Center in Bowling Green by Medcom. Mr. Kropp was pronounced dead at 2354 hours by the emergency room physician. Jacob Whitaker was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail charged with Manslaughter 2nd. Mr. Kropp was transported to the Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville for an autopsy. The investigation is ongoing.
