Update to the Marijuana & Drug Paraphernalia Arrest in Hart County

(Bowling Green, Ky.) --An additional 102 plants were located on 06/16/2009 on two additional plots by the K.S.P Aircraft Section and Trooper Ronnie Reynolds, Trooper Joel Huff, Detective Terry Young, Lt. Brandon Hammers and the Hart County Sheriff's Office along w/ other paraphernalia. A total of 204 marijuana plants were located during the two day investigation. Total estimated value of all the recovered plants has a street value over $400,000.

(Bowling Green, Ky.) -- At approximately 1408 hours, Post 3 was notified by KSP aircraft of a large marijuana patch located in Hart County. Aircraft requested ground units to assist in the search of the vicinity. Upon units' arrival, David Howard, the property owner, was found hiding in a barn and was subsequently detained. After troopers questioned Mr. Howard about the marijuana located on the premises, he admitted the plants were his. Mr. Howard was then arrested for One Enhanced Count of Cultivating Marijuana (5 or more plants) and One Count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-1st Offense, and was lodged in the Hart County Jail. 102 marijuana plants have been seized to date. The investigation, led by Trooper Ronnie Reynolds and Trooper Joel Huff, continues.
