Criminal Arrest in Butler County

(Bowling Green, Ky.) -- A vehicle operated by Ashley Lewis of Hartford was stopped for speeding on the William Natcher Parkway. KSP dispatch advised Trooper Phelps of an active warrant on Ms. Lewis, who appeared to be intoxicated upon exiting her vehicle. Ms. Lewis advised Trooper Phelps that she had been smoking marijuana prior to operating her car. Upon further questioning, Ms. Lewis stated there was both marijuana and hash hidden under her seat. Trooper B.J. Eaton's k-9 hit on the driver's-side door and once inside, then hit on the driver's-side floorboard. A total of 1 oz. of marijuana and 4 ozs. of hash was recovered from the interior of the car. Ashley Lewis was arrested and lodged in the Butler County Jail.
