Click It Or Ticket Summary (Week 1)

(Bowling Green, Ky.) -- The Post Commander, Captain Phil Crumpton of the Kentucky State Police, Post 3 is reporting the following activity for the first week of the Click It Or Ticket campaign.

Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 674 citations and arrested 32 people during the first week of Click It Or Ticket. Of the citations written, 114 were for speeding, 5 for no child restraint, and 261 citations for no seatbelts. Eleven people were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. One hundred and sixty-one citations were issued for various other traffic violations.

In addition, 7 felony arrests were made, 11 people were arrested for drug related offenses, and 14 fugitives were apprehended.

The Click It Or Ticket campaign is going to continue through Sunday, May 31, in the Bowling Green Post area.
