Injury Collision on Sandy Creek Road in Butler County

Date of News Release: 04/24/2009

(Bowling Green, Ky.) -- William Phelps was westbound on Sandy Creek Road when they were passed by an Orange Mustang in a no passing zone. Mr. Phelps overcorrected his vehicle due to thinking the Mustang was coming into his lane and went off the right shoulder of the roadway. Vehicle traveled approximately 50 yards through a field & crossed a creek bed before striking a tree head on and coming to final rest. Operator was not injured during the accident. Passenger (James L. Phelps) was taken by Butler County EMS to the Medical Center in Bowling Green for treatment for his non life-threatening injuries.
