Injury Collision on the William H. Natcher Parkway in Butler County

(Bowling Green, Ky.) -- Marvin Anderson Jr., was traveling northbound in the right lane of the William H. Natcher Parkway. Christopher Welch was traveling northbound on the parkway behind Mr. Anderson's vehicle. As Mr. Anderson's vehicle slows down in traffic, Mr. Welch attempted to slow down as well, and initiated an avoidance maneuver. Mr. Welch attempted to avoid colliding with Mr. Anderson by steering into the left lane. Mr. Welch then lost control of his vehicle, and the truck began sliding across the roadway. Mr. Welch's vehicle rear, passenger-side wheel then collided with the rear of Mr. Anderson's vehicle. Mr. Anderson's vehicle exited the right shoulder of the road and turned over. Mr. Welch's vehicle exited the left shoulder of the roadway, entered the median, and overturned before coming to final rest on its left side. Mr. Welch was flown to Vanderbilt Hospital and is in stable condition. The remaining three occupants were transported to the Medical Center in Bowling Green for treatment.
