Shooting Investigation in Hart County

Date of News Release: 03/28/2009

(Bowling Green, Ky.) - Kentucky State Police was notified of a physical altercation on Glen Lily East Road in Hart County. Freddie Wells shot James Jewell once in the foot with a .25 caliber pistol. Mr. Jewell was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital then to University of Louisville Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. Mr. Wells was arrested without incident and lodged in the Hart County Jail on the charges of Assault 1st Degree, Menacing, Disorderly Conduct 1st Degree, Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.
