Injury Collision on I-65 in Warren County

Date of News Release: 02/14/2009

(Bowling Green, KY) - Francisco Villa-Real and Richard Maple were both traveling southbound at the 29 mile-marker on I-65. For an unknown reason, Mr. Villa-Real's vehicle struck the guardrail causing him to lose control. Mr. Villa-Real's vehicle crossed into the path of Mr. Maple's vehicle. Mr. Maple's vehicle struck Mr. Villa-Real's vehicle in the driver side door. Mr. Villa-Real was flown by stat care to the University of Louisville Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The front seat passenger, Luis Villa-Real Jr. was flown by Air EVAC to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN. Carol Villa-Real was taken by EMS to the Medical Center at Bowling Green and was treated and released. Mr. Maple was not injured. Investigation continues.
