Manufacturing Methamphetamine Investigation

(Bowling Green, KY) - On January 12, 2009 a traffic stop was initiated on Melissa Pace traveling on Boiling Springs Road. Upon contact with the driver, Trooper Cardwell detected a strong chemical odor from inside the vehicle. The operator of the vehicle (Pace) was arrested for DUI and when questioned about the strong chemical odor, she admitted to having the remnants of a meth lab in her vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. The driver and passenger were both arrested and lodged in the Warren County Jail.
