Non Injury Crash with Road Closure

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Johnny R. Baize, age 44 of Morganfield, KY, was operating a 1998 Freightliner tractor-trailer southbound on US 41A. He was hauling scrap metal. As he was traveling southbound, the vehicle exited off the right shoulder of the roadway and overturned coming to rest on its passenger side. Mr. Baize was wearing his seat belt and was not injured. One lane of traffic remained opened. As of 10:13 a.m., all traffic is closed. A detour has been established on KY 630 near Manitou in Hopkins County and on KY 814 near Providence in Webster County. These detours will remain for several hours while crews remove the vehicle. At approximately 1:07 p.m. on 12/18/2009, the roadway was cleared. Normal traffic has resumed.
