Two Arrested on Felony Drug Charges in Todd County

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On 10/19/2009, Trooper Jeff Ayres initiated a traffic stop for driving improperly on the left side of the roadway. The driver, Kevin Simpson, gave Trooper Ayres consent to search the vehicle. The search revealed the presence of a controlled substance. Both Mr. Simpson and the passenger, Casey Noel, were arrested. The subjects attempted to conceal the disposal of other controlled substances during transportation to Todd County Jail. Mr. Simpson was charged with Improperly on Left Side of Roadway, Operating a motor vehicle on DUI suspended license, Possession controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (drug unspecified) & Tampering with physical evidence. Casey Noel was charged with Possession controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (drug unspecified) & Tampering with physical evidence. Both were lodged in the Todd County Jail.
