Webster County Jail Escape

Date of News Release: 10/15/2009

(Madisonville, KY) -- On October 14, 2009, at 1959 hours, two inmates from the Webster County Restricted Custody Center escaped. Jackie L. Beasley and Brian A. Schwartz were able to make it outside of a fenced in area and proceeded away on foot from the RCC.

During the escape a camera was disturbed which alerted jail staff to place the facility on lockdown and conduct a head count at 2010 hours. At this time, it was discovered that one inmate was missing.

Further investigation by the staff and the Kentucky State Police revealed that a second inmate was also unaccounted for.

The two inmates stole a vehicle from the immediate area. This vehicle was reported stolen shortly after the escape. A BOLO for Beasley, Schwartz, and the vehicle went out to law enforcement nationwide through the National Law Enforcement Teletype System (NLETS).

On October 15, 2009, at 0100 hours, a vehicle matching the description of the one stolen from Webster County was observed and felony stopped by the Marion Police Department. The two occupants of the vehicle were the two escapees from the RCC. Both were taken into custody by the Marion Police Department without incident. Both were charged with Escape 2nd Degree and TBUT-auto, both of which are class D Felonies.

The investigation is on-going by Kentucky State Police Detective Dan Morck and the Webster County Detention Center.
