Two Injured & One Killed in a Single Vehicle Collision

(Madisonville, KY) -- Teresa Landrum was operating a 1995 Jeep Cherokee northbound on KY 181 when she ran her vehicle just off the edge of the right shoulder of the roadway. Ms. Landrum then over corrected traveling into the southbound lane of travel. Ms. Landrum then over corrected again losing control of her vehicle, traveling down a steep embankment. After going down the embankment, Ms.Landrum then struck a tree with the top of the vehicle where she came to final rest on the left side of her vehicle, partially overturned. Ms. Landrum was flown by helicopter to St. Marys in Evansville for her injuries. Darlene Johnson was transported by ambulance to Muhlenberg Community Hospital for her injuries. Verna Blanchard was pronounced dead on the scene by Deputy Coroner Tim Franklin.
