Injury Motorcycle Collision on KY 112 in Hopkins County

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Tommy W. Higbee was operating a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle westbound on KY 112 when he attempted to negotiate a corner. Mr. Higbee stated that he was slowing and probably applied the front brakes too hard. The motorcycle stopped abruptly and threw Mr. Higbee over the handle bars. He then struck the roadway and rolled into a ditch on the right side of the roadway. The motorcycle came to rest in the road. Mr. Higbee was transported by ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment. He was wearing a helmet.
