Injury Collision on Union Ridge Road in Muhlenberg County

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Jamie Buchanan was operating a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire southbound on Union Ridge Road when she topped a hill and lost control on the gravel surface. She attempted to regain control of the vehicle; however, she over corrected and exited the right shoulder of the roadway. As the vehicle entered the tree line, it overturned several times and came to rest on its top against a tree. Ms. Buchanan and her passenger, Shawn Watkins, were transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg County Community Hospital for treatment. Both subjects were wearing seat belts.
