Robbery 1st Degree Arrests

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On August 11, 2009 at approximately 6:10 p.m., Trooper Darron Holliman executed arrest warrants on James E. Whisman and Jessie J. Sebastian at the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex. Both were charged with Robbery 1st Degree, a class B felony. Both men remain lodged in the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex where they were already lodged on other charges.

The arrest warrants were obtained as a result of an investigation of an incident that occurred on August 17, 2008. At that time, Mr. Whisman and Mr. Sebastian were escapees from the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex. After escaping, they attempted to steal gas from a vehicle parked at a residence under construction on KY 902 East in Fredonia, KY. A neighbor noticed them and confronted them at which time, a physical struggle ensued. During this struggle, the neighbor was struck in the head. The two escapees then fled the scene.
