Injury Collision on KY 813 in Hopkins County

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Joseph Gunn was operating a 1993 Mitsubishi northbound on KY 813 when he attempted to negotiate a curve at an apparent, high rate of speed. Mr. Gunn lost control of the vehicle and it exited off the left shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle struck a tree and traveled back onto the roadway. It overturned several times ejecting Mr. Gunn. The vehicle exited off the right shoulder of the roadway and came to rest upright in a ditch. Mr. Gunn was transported by ambulance to the Hanson area where he was then flown to St. Mary's in Evansville, IN for treatment. It is unknown if Mr. Gunn was wearing a seat belt.
