Felony Drug Arrest in Hopkins County

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at approximately 10:14 p.m., troopers from the Kentucky State Police Post 2 and officers from the Dawson Springs Police Department executed an arrest warrant on Baxter Avenue in Dawson Springs. Troopers located Jeremy Barber inside the residence hiding in a clothes dryer. He was arrested without incident. Through further investigation, officers also located illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the residence in close proximity to a small child. Jeremy Barber age 27 of Hopkinsville, Ky. was charged with Execution of Warrant-Failure to Appear, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense-Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense & Wanton Endangerment 2nd Degree. Amber Martin age 21 of Dawson Springs, Ky. was charged with Drinking Alcohol In Public, Hindering Apprehension/Prosecution 2nd Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor & Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense. Jeremy Barber and Amber Martin were lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
