Cultivating Marijuana Arrest in Christian County

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On Monday, June 29, 2009 at approximately 8:35 p.m., Trooper Michael Dennis conducted a traffic stop on a 1997 Nissan white, pickup truck on Mount Carmel Camp Creek Road. Trooper Dennis had received a complaint earlier in the evening reference a white, pickup truck involved in possible illegal, drug activity in the area. Trooper Dennis obtained consent to search the vehicle from the driver, Larry Harvey. Trooper Dennis located 49 marijuana plants in a cooler in the bed of the pickup truck. Larry Harvey and his two passengers, David Harvey and Rance Walker, were arrested without incident and charged with Cultivating Marijuana 5 Plants or > 1st Offense (a Class D Felony). All three subjects were lodged in the Christian County Detention Center.
