Injury Collision on Western Kentucky Parkway in Hopkins County

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- James Simms was operating a 1991 Oldsmobile eastbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway when his vehicle exited the roadway and traveled into the median. The vehicle overturned onto its top. It slid across the median and both westbound lanes of travel before coming to rest against a guardrail. Mr. Simms was flown by helicopter to St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, IN for treatment of head injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.
