Injury Collision on Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Eric Ringstaff was operating a 1993 Ford Ranger northbound on the Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway when his vehicle dropped off the left shoulder of the roadway and traveled into the median. Mr. Ringstaff overcorrected and sideswiped a 2006 Freightliner tractor-trailer operated by Glen Breedlove that was traveling northbound. Mr. Ringstaff's vehicle came to rest in the median. The tractor-trailer pulled over onto the shoulder. Both Mr. Ringstaff and his passenger, Susan Young, were transported by ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment. Mr. Breedlove was not injured. All parties involved were wearing seat belts.
