Injury Collision on KY 81 in Muhlenberg County

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Malorie Edds was operating a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier southbound on KY 81. Francisco Reyes was operating a 2000 Buick Regal northbound on KY 81. For an unknown reason, Malorie Edds' vehicle crossed the centerline and struck Francisco Reyes' vehicle head-on. Malorie Edds was flown from the scene by PHI Air Medical to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN for treatment. Her passenger, Kimber Edds, was transported by Muhlenberg County EMS to the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY for treatment. Francisco Reyes was transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Malorie Edds was not wearing a seat belt. Kimber Edds was restrained in a child safety seat. Francisco Reyes was wearing a seat belt. Trooper Ray was assisted at the scene by Trooper Jerry Knight, the Bremen Volunteer Fire Department, Muhlenberg County Sheriffs Department, Muhlenberg County EMS, and PHI Air Medical.
