Two Vehicle Injury Collision on US 41A in Hopkins County

(Madisonville, Ky.) -Mr. Donald E. Griffey had been traveling westbound on US 41A and was stopped for a funeral procession. Mr. Jacob R. Phillips was traveling westbound on US 41A and rear ended Mr. Griffey. Mr. Griffey's vehicle, after impact, crossed the eastbound lane and exited the eastbound shoulder coming to final rest in a ditch. Mr. Phillips' vehicle, after impact, continued westbound coming to final rest in the westbound lane. Mr. Phillips was not wearing a seatbelt and was injured as a result of the collision. Mr. Phillips was transported from the scene to Regional Medical Center by Med Center Ambulance.
