Cold Case Murder Investigation

An image of Donald Wayne BarnettMadisonville, Ky. (Hopkins County) - The Kentucky State Police is requesting the public's assistance in developing new leads on a cold case.

On March 17, 2003, the body of Donald Wayne Barnett was discovered on strip mine property off of Red Hill Road in southern Hopkins County. Mr. Barnett was a 46-year-old, white, male. He had apparently been sitting in his vehicle when he was shot multiple times at close range.
