Felony Drug Arrest in Muhlenberg County

(Madisonville, KY) - On Monday, February 23, 2009, Trooper McPherson was patrolling on US 431 near Drakesboro when he detected a strong, chemical odor. His investigation led him to a camper trailer located at 429 US 431 North. Trooper McPherson obtained consent to search from the occupants of the trailer. Inside the trailer, troopers located an active meth lab, methamphetamine and several components commonly used in the manufacturing process. Items of drug paraphernalia were also located inside the trailer. Michael Schulze and Jessica Lee were arrested. Michael Schulze age 32 was charged with 1)Manufacturing Meth 2nd or > Offense, 2)Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd or > Offense-Meth, 3)Knowingly Possess Anhydrous Ammonia w/ Intent to Manufacture Meth 1st Offense, 4) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd or > Offense & 5) Resisting Arrest. Jessica A. Lee age 20 was charged with 1)Manufacturing Meth 1st Offense, 2)Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense-Meth, 3)Knowingly Possess Anhydrous Ammonia w/ Intent to Manufacture Meth 1st Offense & 4)Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense. Both were lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. KSP DESI West performed the cleanup of the meth lab.
