Muhlenberg County Drug Arrest

(Madisonville, KY) - On January 25, 2009, Trooper Lloyd Ray conducted a traffic stop on a 1991 Pontiac, passenger vehicle operated by Tina Chambers on Bards Hill Road. Upon stopping the vehicle, Trooper Ray detected a strong odor of ether and marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, troopers located suspected methamphetamine and several items of drug paraphernalia. Ms. Chambers was charged with Failure to Use Turn Signal, DUI 1st Offense, Improper Windshield, Failure to Notify DOT of Address Change, Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense & Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Offense. Her passenger, Joey Putnam was also arrested without incident and charged with the Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd Offense-Meth & Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Offense. Both were lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
