Injury Collision on KY 81 in Muhlenberg County

(Madisonville, KY) - Norman Hawks was traveling southbound on KY 81 approaching the intersection of US 431. Marcus Edwards was stopped at the intersection on KY 81, also facing southbound. Mr. Hawks failed to stop and struck Mr. Edward's vehicle in the rear. Both Mr. Hawks and Mr. Edwards were transported to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital by Muhlenberg County EMS. Due to injuries sustained in the collision, Norman Hawks was cited to court for the charges of Operating Motor Vehicle Under Influence of Drugs 1st Offense, Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container & Failure of Non-Owner to Maintain Insurance 1st Offense.
