One Injured in a Two Vehicle Collision on KY 280

(Murray, Ky.) -- A Murray woman is in the hospital after a 2 vehicle collision just east of Murray just before noon on Wednesday. Upon initial investigation it was determined that Mr. Donald Galloway, 52, of Hazel was operating his 1994 Ford Ranger pickup east bound on KY 280 when he entered a right hand curve and lost control of his vehicle.  Mr. Galloway's vehicle crossed the center line of KY 280 and collided head on with a 1999 Ford Taurus being driven by Shelley Nelson, 54, of Murray.  Mr. Galloway was wearing his seatbelt and declined medical treatment.  Mrs. Nelson was also wearing her seatbelt and was transported to Murray Calloway County Hospital where she was in stable condition.  Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by Murray Calloway County EMS, and Calloway County Fire and Rescue.  The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Thomas Clifton with the Kentucky State Police.
