One Injured in a Two Vehicle Collision on KY 97

(Mayfield, Ky.) -- Mr. Gregory Park was traveling north on KY 97 when he swerved to miss a deer entering the travel portion of the roadway. Mr. Jerry Stewart was traveling south on KY 97 and steered right to avoid contact, but was struck by Mr. Park's vehicle. After impact, Mr. Stewart's vehicle exited the west side of KY 97 and overturned where it came to final rest. Mr. Park's vehicle came to final rest on the east side of KY 97. Mr. Park was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center where he was treated for injuries. Mr. Stewart was not injured in the collision. Kentucky State Police was assisted by Mayfield Fire Department and EMS. Investigation continues by Trooper Tim Sales.
