Assault Investigation and Arrest

(LaCenter, Ky.) -- On September 29, 2009, Kentucky State Police arrested Ryan C. Hardesty, 25 of Woodbine, MD after the investigation revealed that Mr. Hardesty deliberately drove his vehicle into the two Ballard County Deputies patrol cars on September 26, 2009. Mr. Hardesty was charged with DUI 1st Offense (Aggravated), Disregarding a Traffic Control Device, three counts of Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, one count of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, two counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree on a Police Officer, one count of Assault 1st Degree, and two counts of Assault 1st Degree on a Police Officer. Mr. Hardesty was lodged in the Ballard County Detention Center. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Brad Ramsey.
