KSP Post 1 Welcomes New Troopers

(Hickory, Ky.) -- On Friday, June 12th, 34 new troopers graduated the Kentucky State Police Academy in Frankfort. Kentucky State Police, Post One, welcomes two new troopers from that class who will begin their assignments this week.

Trooper Nathan Clinkenbeard	Trooper Brandon Payne

Trooper Nathan Clinkenbeard, 35, is a native of Cadiz, Kentucky. Clinkenbeard is a graduate of Ashworth University and will be assigned to patrol Lyon County.

Trooper Brandon Payne, 30, is a native of Florence, Kentucky. Payne is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University and a U.S. Army veteran having served in Iraq. Payne is assigned to patrol Graves County.

During the new troopers' first 8 - 12 weeks, they will be paired with a veteran trooper during a field training period. At the conclusion of the field training period, both Clinkenbeard and Payne will be released to patrol their assigned counties.
