Drug Arrest in McCracken County

(Paducah, Ky.) -- Three McCracken County residents were arrested after State Police discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia in their home on Benton Road (KY 284) in McCracken County. Officers responded to 3606 Benton Road just after 9:00 PM Tuesday evening in an attempt to locate Mr. John York. York, 24, was wanted for a parole violation. State Police received information that Mr. York was at the Benton Road Residence. State Police and McCracken County Deputies arrived at the residence and made contact with 36-year-old, Elizabeth Mullican. Mullican stated that she was the only one at the residence at which time a male, matching York's description, walked behind her in the residence. Police recognized the man as York and detained him. While placing York in custody, officers observed several items of drug paraphernalia in the room. A search warrant was immediately obtained for the residence.
The subsequent search of the house yielded the discovery of methamphetamine, marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia. Also located was a backpack with several items required to manufacture methamphetamine including, coleman fuel, liquid fire, plastic tubing, and coffee filters. Mullican and another female in the residence were charged along with York.
John York, 33 of Paducah: Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Parole Violation (Warrant).
Elizabeth Mullican, 36 of Paducah: Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Possession of Marijuana, Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Ashley Morris, 26 of Paducah: Illegal Possession of a Legend Drug, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Prescription Drug Not in Approved Container.
All parties were lodged in the McCracken County Jail. Kentucky State Police was assisted by the McCracken County Sheriff's Office. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Brad Ramsey with the Kentucky State Police.
