Fulton County Jail Escapee Apprehended

(Hickory, Ky.) -- On Sunday, May 17, 2009 at 2:50 pm the Kentucky State Police was notified by the Bardwell Police Department of the whereabouts of escaped prisoner John Aaron Jones. Jones, a 19-year-old white male was being held at the Fulton County Jail on charges of burglary, criminal mischief, and theft by unlawful taking. Jones was reported as an escapee on May 16, 2009. Bardwell Police Department received information that a male subject fitting Jones' description was in the area. Once Jones was identified, Kentucky State Police was requested to respond. Trooper Allison Wommer arrested Jones, charging him with Escape 2nd Degree. Jones was lodged in the Fulton County Jail. The investigation is continuing by the Kentucky State Police, with the assistance of the Bardwell Police Department.

(Hickory, Ky.) -- On Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 6:26 pm the Kentucky State Police was notified by the Fulton County Jail of an inmate that had apparently escaped. This inmate, John Aaron Jones, was last seen on the jail property at approximately 11:00 am. Mr. Jones is a 19-year-old white male who was last seen wearing a light-colored shirt, possibly tan or white, and dark sweatpants, possibly black or blue, and white tennis shoes. He is 5'6" tall and weighs 145 lbs. , has brown hair, brown eyes and several tattoos, including a teardrop under his left eye.
