(Hickory, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police Post One Activity Report for the month of April is as follows:

Post One Mayfield covers the 11 counties of Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken and Trigg. As of today, there have been 13 people killed in fatal collisions in the Post One area. Of those who died, five were not wearing a seatbelt and one was not wearing a motorcycle helmet. During the same period in 2008, there were 24 people killed in the Post One area. This represents a 46 percent decrease in fatal collisions across the Post One area. Statewide, to date, there have been 240 people killed compared to 237 in 2008.
