Felony Arrest in Livingston County

(Hickory, Ky) - Sergeant Williams observed two motorcycles northbound on KY 453 just outside of Smithland traveling in excess of 100 miles per hour. Sergeant Williams was able to locate one of the motorcycles on US 60. The operator failed to yield to Sergeant Williams's emergency equipment and traveled approximately 12 miles prior to yielding on US 60 in Salem. Christopher Cowen was charged with Speeding, Fleeing and Evading Police, Failure to Register Transfer of Motor Vehicle, No Motorcycle Operator's License, and No Insurance. Mr. Cowen was lodged in the McCracken County Jail. The driver of the second motorcycle has not been identified at this time.
