Single Vehicle Collision in Graves County

(Mayfield, Ky.) - A single vehicle collision near Mayfield this morning sent four people to the hospital. At approximately 11:42 AM, Kentucky State Police responded to a report of a one vehicle collision on KY 131 just north of Mayfield. Initial investigation by KSP revealed that Stacey King, 23 of Mayfield, traveled off of the left side of the highway for reasons unknown. King's Chevrolet SUV struck an earth embankment. After striking the embankment, the vehicle overturned and struck two trees before coming to final rest. Ms. King was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for her injuries. She was not wearing a seatbelt. Three juveniles in the vehicle were properly restrained. The juveniles were treated and released from the hospital. Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the Mayfield/Graves County EMS. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Joe Gregory of the Kentucky State Police.
