(Hickory, Ky) -- Ms. Elizabeth Slack was preparing to merge onto the Julian Carroll Parkway from US 68. Ms. Belinda Cooke was northbound on Julian Carroll Parkway, passing exit 47. While merging onto the Parkway, Ms. Slack attempted to move into the fast lane to pass a slower moving vehicle that was merging in front of her. Ms. Cookes vehicle came to final rest on the right shoulder of the roadway. Both subjects were transported by Marshall County EMS and were later treated and released. Trooper Sales was assisted at the scene by Palma-Briensburg Fire Department and Marshall County EMS. The investigation continues by Trooper Tim Sales.
