Vehicle Collision on US 51 in Hickman County

(Clinton, Ky) -- A debris removal worker is in the hospital this evening after being struck by a vehicle on US Highway 51 in Hickman County. At approximately 11:00 AM, Kentucky State Police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision near the Spring Hill community in Hickman County. It was reported that Adam Schroeder, a flagman working for F & S Land Clearing, was directing traffic when a vehicle traveling southbound struck him with the passenger side of the vehicle. Mr. Schroeder, 18 of Dexter, was taken by ambulance to Parkway Regional Hospital, in Fulton, for non life threatening injuries. The driver of the pickup truck, Moddies Jordan, 54 of Cairo, Illinois, was uninjured in the collision. Mr. Moddies stated that he did not see Mr. Schroeder when he hit him. Kentucky State Police was assisted by the Hickman County EMS, Hickman County Fire/Rescue, Hickman County Sheriff's Office, and Clinton Police Department. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Joe Gregory with the Kentucky State Police.
