Attempted Murder Arrest in Graves County

(Cuba, Ky.) - A Mayfield man was arrested late Monday night after Kentucky State Police responded to a domestic dispute in south Graves County. On March 30th, at approximately 6:45 PM, Kentucky State Police received a domestic violence complaint from a resident on State Route 303 (Cuba Road) in Graves County. Troopers responded and an investigation began. It was determined through the investigation that Larry D. Banks, 61, had attempted to shoot and assault at least one person at the residence. Banks was not at the residence when officers arrived.

Arrest warrants were obtained for Banks who was later located at his home in Mayfield. Banks was charged with Attempted Murder, Wanton Endangerment, 2 counts of Terroristic Threatening, and Assault 4th Degree. Banks was lodged in the Graves County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond. Kentucky State Police were assisted by the Graves County Sheriff's Office. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Eric Fields with the Kentucky State Police.
