Calloway County Death Investigation

(Murray, Ky.) - On Thursday March 6, 2009 Kentucky State Police received a cellular 911 call of an overturned vehicle in a creek at the intersection of Snow Road and Hawthorn Road south of the Coldwater community. Upon units' arrival, a lone occupant was located inside the vehicle. The Calloway County Coroner pronounced the victim, Robert G. Horrobin age 67 of Murray, KY, deceased at the scene. The victim was transported to Madisonville for an autopsy Thursday afternoon and the results are pending. The Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by Calloway County Sheriffs Department, Calloway County Fire Rescue, Murray Calloway County EMS, Calloway County DES, Murray Fire Department, and the Calloway County Animal Control Officer. The Investigation continues by Detective Jerry Jones and Trooper Russell Boyd.
