Felony Arrest in Melber, KY

(Melber, KY) - On February 6, 2009, Kentucky State Police responded to State Route 945 in Melber in reference to a report of possible violation of a Kentucky Emergency Protection Order. State Police arrived and found Gregory Simmons had left the residence. The Trooper soon located and attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Mr. Simmons. Mr. Simmons accelerated and started to speed away. Approximately 1.75 miles later, Mr. Simmons pulled over. Mr. Simmons was arrested and charged with the following: No Registration Plates, Reckless Driving, Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance 1st, Fleeing or Evading Police 1st, DUI 1st, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Open Alcohol Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle Prohibited, Violation of Kentucky EPO/DVO. Mr. Simmons was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
