Weather Reminders for Motorists

(Hickory, KY) Kentucky State Police personnel are currently patrolling roadways throughout the post one area. State Police want to remind citizens to only call 911 if you have a police, fire, or medical emergency. Non-emergency calls that are placed on 911 lines tie up the system which prevents emergency calls from reaching telecommunicators. If you need to make a non-emergency call, please contact Kentucky State Police at one of the following numbers:

Motorists are urged to use extreme caution when traveling on any roadway during this inclement weather. Even if the roadways seem clear of ice, there might be large tree limbs crossing the roadways which could cause major vehicle collisions. Also, as a result of frequent power outages, many traffic signals are out of service. Motorists are reminded to treat any intersection like a 4-way stop if the traffic signal is out of service. Updates will follow as necessary throughout the day.
